@photoextremist ...
@photoextremist thanks? alot this is what i was looking for.

I currently have a ...
I currently have a 550d with a sigma dc18-250 f3.5 -f6.3 . If i correctly understand it works like this: If want to take crisp picuters you need a fast shutter speed but to get more light you need a? big aperture (like a f1.4). if thats correct what should i buy? I really like to take portraits, so should I buy a 50mm f1.4 to get my models pop and background blurry ( and get sharp pictures)?

My kit lens with my ...
My kit lens with my Canon 500D was an 18-135mm. Only lens i have so far but looking? to get a 50mm f1.8 :D

i have a canon 550d ...
i have a canon 550d with an? 18-55mm kit lens (with the camera) and a 70-300 lens

I've heard that the ...
I've heard that the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 is the sharpest one, so I? got that one. Just my 2 cents.

Now I am using D300 ...
Now I am using D300 and 50mm AF-S 1.8G with a MF lens AI 135mm F2.8 for portrait, I? am looking for a wide lens like: 18-55 or 18-70 (king of Kit) but Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 get me to thinking. And I am looking for a AF-D 24mm F2.8. Please anyone give me some advice

Stay away from the ...
Stay away from the crappy kit lens's (unless it came free with the camera), harsh, yes, but it will only be a matter of months before you will be wanting so much more than these cheap lens's can deliver and you'l end up shelling out more cash on better glass so best to avoid the cheap crap right from the start. The 50mm 1.8 (canon/nikon whatever,? who cares) is definatly a stonking lens that is a must in every kit bag. Just my 2 cents on the matter.

I am planning to buy 18-55 and 75-300 lenses. Will it make a big difference to? miss the range 56 to 74?

ANYONE PLEASE HELP: ...
ANYONE PLEASE HELP: Is there any way to get the shallow depth of? field or the effect shown at 1:34 with an 18-55mm? Is there any other way than the 100$ lens? Thanks?

Nikon D5100! To ...
Nikon D5100! To find credible information on which one is better:Type "nikon d5100 vs canon t3i" in Google&press the 1st link by snapsort.com. The only advantage of the Canon is it's cheaper and it can? autofocus. The Nikon can't AF with all lenses but you can find AF alternatives for nikon lenses but it is more expensive(around $50 more than orignal lens). I wouldn't worry about it because if u are paying so much for a lens, an extra? $50 is no dealbreaker.

Hello, I'm thinking ...
Hello, I'm thinking about buying a DSLR myself, my budget allows me to? get either the Nikon 5100 or Canon T3i(600D), which one you think is better?

You should go for ...
You should go for the 50mm F1.8 II, not because is the cheapest of all? the lens, but is really sharp and the aperture of 1.8 really good for low light, I have also a 1.4, but the 1.8 is really a good lens for the price.

Nikon? 3000

depends on budget. ...
depends on budget. I'd say a Leica? M9 but if your on a budget maybe try a t2i, even though it's older than the t3i etc., it still holds up.

Thank you so much ...
Thank you so much for information you gave, it was really nice? to know advantages and disadvantages of different lenses.

the sigma 17-50 ...
the sigma 17-50 f2.8 would let? in more light and the optics would be slightly better, plus it has VR/IS - other than that, the lenses you will be using are fine. if you don't find yourself needing more light / shorter shutter speed then just stick with the lens you already have (unless you have? tons of money to spend)

I'm just about to ...
I'm just about to upgrade to a Canon DSLR and it comes with the standard 18-55mm lens. I'm planning on doing portraits and wasn't sure which lens to upgrade to,? if any for those kinds of shots. Great video and you've helped me to decide to get a 50mm. Thanks for clarifying it for me. Awesome video's man, you make the technical side of photography make sense. Cheers

I've been using the one moveable ring on it but i cant move any aperture ring like u did... Would it be possible to make a? tutorial :D
